Call for Papers – Journal of Korean Religions
October 2013 –Vol. 4, No. 2
Special Issue – “North Korea and Religion”

The Journal of Korean Religions is welcoming article submissions for a special edition on the theme of “North Korea and Religion” to be published in Vol. 4, No. 2 October 2013. We seek contributions from a wide range of disciplines in the humanities and social sciences—including religion, anthropology, sociology, literature, history, media and performance studies, ethnomusicology, folklore, and any other area-related fields.

The deadline for submissions is June 30, 2013. Submissions will be peer-reviewed and authors will be notified by July 31, 2013.

We would also like to call for papers for our April 2014 issue, (Vol. 5, No. 1), focusing on Buddhist-Christian dialogues in Korea.

The Journal of Korean Religions is the only English-language academic journal dedicated to the study of Korean religions. It aims to stimulate interest and research on Korean religions across a range of disciplines in the humanities and social sciences. The journal is committed to interdisciplinary and innovative approaches and welcomes contributions from both established and new scholars in their respective disciplines. Launched in 2010 by the Institute for the Study of Religion (http://isr.sogang.ac.kr) at Sogang University in Korea, JKR is peer-reviewed and published twice yearly, in April and October.
