The Department of Geography in the Faculty of Arts invites applications for a tenure-track appointment in Human Geography at the level of Assistant Professor. Anticipated date of commencement is July 1, 2012.
We seek an outstanding individual with demonstrated commitment to excellence in research and teaching within the framework of the Department’s undergraduate (BA/BSc) and graduate (MA/MSc/PhD) programs. The successful candidate must be a human geographer and have a PhD by the time of appointment, a record of scholarly publication, evidence of excellence in teaching, and show the potential to develop and independent externally funded research agenda. Candidates that have experience in teaching Urban Geography, as well as introductory level Geography courses will be advantaged.
