4th International Conference of
NextGen Korean Studies Scholars (NEKST)
May 13-14, 2016 | Ann Arbor, MI

Keynote Speaker: Professor Namhee Lee, UCLA

We invite graduate students within Korean studies across the humanities and social sciences to participate in the 4th International Conference of NextGen Korean Studies Scholars (NEKST) at the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor. This annual conference aims to give graduate students in all academic fields an opportunity to present their research on Korea, share academic interests, as well as build a community of future Korean studies scholars. Any methodologies and disciplinary traditions are welcome for submission, as long as the proposed paper topic is specific to Korea.

Please send a 250-word or less abstract by January 15, 2016 via our online application form, Applicants will be notified of abstract decisions in early February. If accepted, completed papers will be due by April 15. Lodging and on-site meals will be provided during the conference. Additionally, limited travel grants will be available upon application for accepted participants.
