As part of the Authors Meets Critics Book Discussion at the annual meeting of the Association of American Geographers (AAG) in Tampa, Florida, I  served as a critic/discussant for the forthcoming book, The People, Place, and Space Reader, edited by Jen Jack Gieseking and William Mangold, with Cindi Katz, Setha Low, and Susan Saegert. It’s a broad-ranging and interdisciplinary compendium of both classic and lesser-known readings and thoughtful editorial introductions written by folks affiliated with The Graduate Center of the City University of New York (CUNY). The readings are informed by the core courses in environmental psychology taught for many years by Katz, Low, and Saegert.
The book should be of interest to students and teachers in geography, anthropology, architecture, design, etc. The companion website at peopleplacespace.org plans to offer further reading lists and continued engagement.
