The first essay is about urban megachurches and labour politics in Seoul, as part of ongoing look at religious politics in the public sphere.

The second essay is about Korean missionaries’ developmental work in East Africa (Uganda and Tanzania), drawing from previous research and thinking through the spatio-temporality of development experience. It began as part of my PhD research and earlier versions were presented at several conferences and workshops including the Territories of Poverty workshop at UC Berkeley in 2012.
